Our story
Jimmy’s begun life in 1995 as the city’s first night shelter. We are now much more than this, as one of the most prominent organisations within the community supporting people on their journey through homelessness.

Our services
We provide people with the most appropriate place to stay, from our 24/7 emergency accommodation and assessment centre, to houses across Cambridge providing independent “next step” accommodation, and groundbreaking modular homes. We also provide individualised support in an inclusive environment, working collaboratively with people with a range of complex needs.

Our impact
Thanks to the vital support of our local community, we have worked alongside 6,000 people since our beginnings in 1995, as part of our goal to end homelessness in Cambridge.
How we help

Jimmy’s is my leg up. Just the fact that I have a roof over my head and a meal a day, that helps your future.
