Wendy has a professional background in Human Resources at Director level in the voluntary sector. She has worked for the NSPCC as well as in social housing, a disability charity and latterly at two Cambridge colleges. She chaired a small charity working with children with a disability and their families and has served as a governor of Long Road Sixth Form College.
She lives in Cambridgeshire and enjoys hill walking and exploring the islands off the coast of Britain.
