We might have been around for 30 years, but at Jimmy’s we’re committed to continual service improvement. We constantly strive to be the best we can for our residents. Because of this, we’re introducing a brand-new Specialist Support Worker role, to ensure that the complexity of our residents’ needs is reflected in the expertise of our staff team.
The role of Specialist Dual Diagnosis Support Worker presents a unique opportunity for someone skilled, experienced and compassionate to make a real difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in Cambridge. The work you do will help people to take their first steps towards recovery and independence. Based at 451, our complex needs hostel, you will support residents with needs arising from both addiction and mental ill-health.
At Jimmy’s, we’re committed to Relationship-Based and Strengths-Based practice. Because of this, we give staff the time, support and resources they need to build a genuine and meaningful rapport with our residents, because we recognize that trust doesn’t come easily for the people we support.
This is a full-time, 9-5 position, but we welcome requests for flexible working or part-time hours.
This role would also suit someone looking to take their first steps into management, with opportunities available for overtime and additional pay, including support work shifts, management cover and participation in our on-call rota.
