Night Support Worker – Permanent

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of homeless individuals? Do you have a heart for those in need and desire to contribute with a supportive and non-judgmental approach? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Night Support Worker. You’ll be the first point of contact during the night, offering practical support and being a calm, reassuring presence.

This role would suit someone who has experience dealing with complex and challenging needs around mental health, substance misuse, offending and rough sleeping. You will need to be resilient, friendly, and approachable to thrive in this position.

Jimmy’s provides help to people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge. We collaborate with local people, communities, organisations, and partners to deliver 24/7 emergency help, support, and accommodation 365 days a year for those who would otherwise be sleeping rough.

How to Apply

Please apply via CV (no more than three pages) along with a supporting statement (no more than two pages) outlining your suitability to this role and reasons for applying, including details of your Right to Work and References (which will not be taken unless you are offered the job, and only after notifying you that they will be requested).

Please note that every post at Jimmy’s is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and you will not be able to start work until your DBS certificate is issued. While a DBS check may highlight something from your past, this will not necessarily preclude you from employment with us, so please do raise any concerns you may have with the recruiting manager.

The closing date for applications is midday 6th November 2025.
