This is a totally new role for Jimmy’s marking the importance of place as well as people. We want the best buildings; well maintained, warm and welcoming for all of our people and we want to go early with compliance requirements as a result of the Supported Housing Act 2023. To do this we want a visible, highly effective ambitious leader to drive forward everything we want to achieve and join others in making Jimmy’s the absolute best we can be. Our Head of Operations and Compliance will lead the day to day running of the organisation in terms of place. Overseeing facilities, food provision, core business functions, compliance, health and safety, fire prevention and safety, IT and data security. Our Head of Operations and Compliance will be a key member of the senior leadership team, modelling exemplary professional standards, supporting and encouraging others, acting with kindness and empathy, and keeping our residents welfare at the heart of decision making.
What we are looking for
Ideally you will have significant experience of facilities and building management, along with regulatory compliance. You will be very comfortable with data security, perhaps already acting as your current organisation’s DPO. You are unafraid of contract negotiations, and have the ability to advocate on behalf of an organisation you believe in. You need to be comfortable with being a recognised presence at Jimmy’s, willing to lend a hand, make decisions and challenge performance, culture and delivery authentically and appropriately. While you do not need sector specific experience, you will need to demonstrate why you are interested in us, and that you have done some homework as to our sector, the challenges we are facing, and the national and local politics and social initiatives we are part of.
What we offer
£40,000-£45,000 FTE depending upon experience
26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
Numerous enhanced benefits (our Employee Handbook is available on request).
Phenomenal training and learning opportunities well beyond the specifics of your role
A friendly, caring, professional bunch of new people to get to know and build solid relationships with.
Ultimately being part of something awesome – a movement to advocate on behalf of and champion the voices of the most vulnerable people in our City.
How to Apply
Please apply via CV (no more than three pages) along with a covering letter (no more than two pages) outlining your suitability and reasons for applying, including details of your Right to Work and References (which will not be taken unless you are offered the job, and only after notifying you that they will be requested).
Please note that every post at Jimmy’s is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and you will not be able to start work until we have seen the paper copy of the check. While a DBS check may highlight something from your past, this will not necessarily preclude you from employment with us, please do raise any concerns you may have with the recruiting manager.
