Are you an experienced and ambitious fundraiser? Interested in social justice, homelessness and housing? Unafraid to speak up and out? Wanting to be part of the future of housing justice in Cambridge and beyond?
Then look no further, because you’ve found your next job!
At Jimmy’s Cambridge we are looking for our next Head of Fundraising, Communications and Communities. We are looking for an experienced professional fundraiser, who in turn is looking for their next ambitious role.
At the heart of what we do is providing gold standard accommodation and 24/7 wrap around support for individuals experiencing homelessness in Cambridge. Our Head of Fundraising, Communications and Communities will lead a hungry, ambitious, well-resourced professional Team, driving up donor income significantly over the coming years, in addition to leading a major capital campaign which will change the shape and future of homelessness provision in the city, for good.
First and foremost, you will share our vision that no one should have to sleep rough on the streets of Cambridge. You will come from a target smashing fundraising background, be experienced in people management, professionally ambitious, connected and knowledgeable about our city.
You will be passionate about social justice, unafraid to speak out and push the boundaries. You will be an ethical fundraiser, and you are the type of person that can see both the trees and the woods.
In return we offer a huge range of benefits, including serious learning and development opportunities, autonomy to lead your Team and your portfolio, space and respect to be a valuable member of our SLT, and grace to be your authentic self.
We love families and carers, so if you have a family and / or caring responsibility the job can work around you. We definitely need you to learn Jimmy’s from within, so while you need to be on site or out and about making contracts and inspiring others about our work (three days per week) to ensure you get to know us and how we work, we can be flexible around where and how you work.
Interviews will be held in person most likely on 19th March at our East Road Hostel. You will be interviewed by Natasha Davies CEO and Will Harriss Trust and Grants Fundraising Consultant, in addition to meeting the wider team. The interview will be approximately one and a half hours.
If you have any access needs, or requirements / asks to ensure you have the best interview experience possible, please just get in touch – we have no issue with keeping the room quiet, moving distracting items out of the way, sitting a certain way, sending you photos of the room layout in advance – whatever you need, please just let us know.
