About Jimmy’s

At Jimmy’s Cambridge we are looking for a brand new Fundraising Assistant for our expanding Fundraising and Communications Team.  We are not looking for reams of experience, we really just want the right person.  At the heart of what we do is providing gold standard accommodation and 24/7 wrap around support for individuals experiencing homelessness in Cambridge. The person in role will be pivotal to the growth of our fundraising, being the first contact point for many of our supporters and being right at the start of building long lasting relationships with them. As well as brilliant communications skills, this will involve developing a comprehensive knowledge of our database (salesforce). As a new position within the team, the right candidate has the opportunity to make the role their own and, in time, there will then be significant opportunity for development

You may come from any background and any level of experience, first and foremost you will share our vision that no one should have to sleep rough on the streets of Cambridge.  You will be passionate about social justice, enthusiastic when it comes to encouraging people to support Jimmy’s and be ready to test and develop new ideas to help us grow our funding levels so we can help even more people move from the street floor to their own front door.

Working With Us

We love families and carers, so if you have a family and / or caring responsibility the job can work around you. We definitely need you to learn Jimmy’s from within, so while you need to be on site (initially three days per week) to ensure you get to know us and how we work, we can be flexible around where and how you work.

The Job Description can be found here.
