451 Team Leader

This post marks a wonderful opportunity to lead a team providing trauma-informed support to individuals with complex support needs relating to homelessness, substance use, mental health and offending. The successful applicant will oversee Cambridge’s only 9-bed complex needs accommodation project for people experiencing homelessness, staffed 24/7 by a team of dedicated Support Workers.

This is a particularly exciting time to join Jimmy’s, with 451 currently undergoing a period of transformation. This includes the introduction of new resident activities, as well as improvements to the hostel’s facilities – including a new garden designed by our residents!

If you are looking to make a real difference to people experiencing entrenched rough sleeping in Cambridge, we would love to hear from you. If you would like to arrange an informal chat about the role, feel free to email our Head of Services, bea.taylor@jimmyscambridge.org.uk .

HOW TO APPLY:

Please apply via CV (no more than three pages) along with a covering letter (no more than two pages) outlining your suitability and reasons for applying, including details of your Right to Work and References (which will not be taken unless you are offered the job, and only after notifying you that they will be requested).

Please note that every post at Jimmy’s is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and you will not be able to start work until we have seen the paper copy of the check.  While a DBS check may highlight something from your past, this will not necessarily preclude you from employment with us, please do raise any concerns you may have with the recruiting manager.’

The closing date is 12pm on Monday 7th July,  with a provisional interview date of Wednesday 9th July (am).
