TTP Cambridge Half Marathon: Jimmy’s Joggers Run on International Women’s Day

The TTP Cambridge Half Marathon takes place this Sunday on International Women’s Day, with Jimmy’s Joggers running to raise funds for Jimmy’s Cambridge

International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the achievements of women and a call to build a more equal and supportive society. For Jimmy’s Cambridge, it is also a moment to celebrate the strength, resilience and community spirit shown by our runners, supporters, staff and residents.

By running the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon, Jimmy’s Joggers are raising vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge.

Running the Cambridge Half Marathon for Jimmy’s Cambridge

Each year, supporters run the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon for Jimmy’s Cambridge charity, helping ensure that no one in Cambridge has to sleep rough.

The Cambridge Half Marathon has become one of our most important fundraising events, bringing together runners and supporters from across the community.

In 2025, 70 Jimmy’s Joggers raised over £45,000 to support Jimmy’s services providing accommodation and wraparound support for people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone running for Jimmy’s this year and to those who will be cheering along the route.

International Women’s Day and Community Support

International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world to recognise the social, economic and cultural achievements of women while encouraging communities to work together to create positive change.

At Jimmy’s, we see every day how community support can transform lives.

This year’s TTP Cambridge Half Marathon on International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible women who are part of the Jimmy’s community — from runners and volunteers to staff and residents.

Supporting People Experiencing Homelessness in Cambridge

Jimmy’s Cambridge provides safe accommodation and wraparound support for people experiencing homelessness across Cambridge.

Our services include:

  • Emergency accommodation at East Road

  • Supported housing across Cambridge

  • Modular homes helping residents transition to independence

Our dedicated team provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, helping residents rebuild their confidence and move towards independent living.

For many residents, the journey begins with something simple but life-changing: a safe place to stay.

As one Jimmy’s resident shared:

“You have a bed, your own key to your own door, even your own shower. That was perfect.”

At Jimmy’s, we work every day to help people move #FromStreetFloorToFrontDoor.

Cheering on Jimmy’s Joggers This Sunday

If you’re watching the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon on International Women’s Day, keep an eye out for the Jimmy’s Joggers and give them a cheer as they pass.

Every mile run helps Jimmy’s continue supporting people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge.

Together, our runners, volunteers and supporters are helping build a stronger, more compassionate community.
