At Jimmy’s Cambridge, we are consistently at the forefront of improving practice, developing, growing and learning. We pioneered the move away from traditional night shelters and co-created the first modular homes in the city. Innovation has always shaped who we are — and it continues to shape where we are going.
For over five years, we have managed modular homes across Cambridge. We were generously gifted 18 modular homes by Hills and have also managed six modular homes at The Green, Barnwell, via Allia, providing management, support and maintenance throughout that time.
After careful consideration, we have decided to conclude our relationship with Allia and our management of the original six modular homes at The Green. This decision comes after a period of significant learning and reflection.
Our priority has always been — and will always remain — our residents. As many of the residents at The Green are now ready to move forward into their next steps, so too are we as an organisation. While the modular homes at The Green have been a positive and important part of our heritage, they do not represent our future direction.
The need for high-quality accommodation and skilled, knowledgeable support has evolved significantly. In response, we are entering a new and ambitious chapter — one that keeps our shared community at the heart of everything we do.
While we are not yet able to share full details, we can say with confidence that important and exciting developments are ahead for Jimmy’s.
We believe that the most vulnerable people in our communities deserve the very best: inspired, safe, calm and ambitious spaces where they can rebuild and thrive. That is what we will be working towards in the months and years to come.
