Bullseye’s Journey to the BBC Make a Difference Awards

Jimmy’s CEO Natasha Davies and Deputy Team Leader Deborah were thrilled to represent Frank and his loyal dog Bullseye at the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Make a Difference Awards 2025 on 19th September. While Bullseye couldn’t attend in person, a giant cardboard cutout stood proudly in his place.

Though he didn’t take home the trophy, Bullseye’s journey as a finalist celebrates the incredible bond between animals and the people they support.

The Power of Pets at Jimmy’s

Since welcoming pets at Jimmy’s Cambridge, it’s become clear that dogs offer far more than companionship—they provide structure, purpose, and emotional support to residents experiencing homelessness.

Frank & Bullseye

Anyone who knows Frank can’t imagine him without Bullseye. Their connection is profound: Bullseye has stood by Frank through life’s highs and lows, offering comfort, loyalty, and unspoken understanding.

Frank found Bullseye as a puppy, abandoned and tied to a bench in Jesus Green Park, Cambridge. Already a dog owner, Frank chose to rescue him anyway—and Bullseye quickly became a lifeline, giving him a reason to keep going each day.

“A dog is not just a pet. He is a friend, a soulmate, a brother, all in one. I would not change him for the world!” – Frank

Celebrating Every Story

Being a finalist at the BBC Make a Difference Awards recognises the profound impact animals can have on human lives. While Bullseye didn’t win this year, his story reminds us of the power of love, loyalty, and the difference one companion can make.

Jimmy’s Cambridge extends congratulations to all winners. The event highlighted an inspiring, interconnected community of people and animals supporting each other.

🐾 Bullseye’s journey is a testament to resilience, hope, and the quiet heroes who make a difference every day.
