Harvest 2023

“Without Jimmy’s I do not know where I would be now. They took me from street to shelter to house to home”.

Harvest Festival celebrates the time of year when crops have been gathered from the field and people can reflect on the food that they have.

We know it’s Summer but we are already thinking ahead to Autumn and our 2023 Harvest Appeal. As you may know, Winter is a particularly difficult time for those experiencing homelessness and with rough sleeping up by 26% across the UK, alongside the cost of living crisis, we anticipate an increased need of our services this year.

Historically the incredible donations we have received have had a huge impact on our ability to help more people. With your support we hope this will be the case again in 2023.

We would like to ask for donations which will be used across our network of support, from our Emergency accommodation at Jimmy’s East Road through to residents we continue to support as they transition into their own home homes.

Last year your donations went towards enabling Jimmy’s to provide over 30,000 meals including breakfast, lunch and a well-balanced, nutritious evening meal. A healthy diet is vital to well-being, and by supporting our residents in this way, we are providing them with a better chance of adopting a healthier lifestyle enabling them to cope with the many issues they are faced with.

This year Harvest is being celebrated on the 4th October, but we will be taking donations throughout September and October.

Would you like us to come and do a talk?

We are able to offer a limited number of number of talks during this period. If you would like us to come along to share more about Jimmy’s, get in touch today to secure a date with a member of the Jimmy’s team!

Why not print off our suggested donation list at home, and share it with friends, your local school, or community group. Together we can support even more people experiencing homelessness this winter.
