With extensive experience managing a neurodevelopmental diagnostic service for Autism and ADHD, James is passionate about improving access to high-quality assessment, support, and care. He is committed to reducing barriers to services and believes that individuals should not be disadvantaged by systems that can unintentionally favour some groups over others. With a strong track record of securing funding from Local Authorities and Integrated Care Boards, he is dedicated to delivering meaningful outcomes for communities that rely on publicly funded services and support.
James holds a degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics and spent time living in Madrid, where he further developed his interest in languages, cultures, and effective communication working for the British Council. His interest in sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics has shaped his belief that the effective use of language, tailored to its audience and context, can significantly influence outcomes and drive meaningful social change.
During his time at university, he served as President of the Freedom Society, leading campaigns to raise awareness of Forced Marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). His advocacy work culminated in lobbying Members of Parliament at the House of Commons on International Women’s Day, championing greater action to protect vulnerable individuals and promote women’s rights.
