About Jimmy’s Cambridge

Jimmy’s is a community-based charity with the belief that no-one should have to sleep rough in Cambridge. We provide safe places that people can call home.  From emergency accommodation at our East Road shelter, longer term care at our multiple needs centre and in supported houses and modular homes. All are important stepping-stones to independent living.

The Role

The 451 service focuses on supporting people with high support needs who have been experiencing homelessness and who have a range complex and enduring needs, including around mental health, substance misuse, offending, and rough sleeping. This 9 residents who will stay at 451, several additional people who will access a day service, and during bad weather winter nights we may provide additional beds in our shared space for up to 5 residents.

The service is covered by a team of Support Workers with two staff per shift 24/7 and a Team Leader. One group of staff will work daytime shifts, and one group of staff will work night shifts, although day and night overtime shifts are available to all staff. We expect the same level of support provided to residents 24/7.
