CONFIDENTIALITY
Anything learnt about any guest staying at Jimmy’s is treated as confidential. As a professional team, all information we receive about our guests is held in confidence. It is not released to people outside Jimmy’s, except as agreed in the
Licence Agreement or as required under applicable law.
Jimmy’s will maintain this information and confidentiality even after a person ceases to be a guest.
We may have to disclose information where we have:

a legal obligation in connection with legal proceedings or obtaining legal advice (e.g. in preparation or during a court case) for the administration of justice (e.g. following a court order)

when it is essential to protect the vital interests of the guest for equal opportunities monitoring

in circumstances specified by order made by the Secretary of State (i.e. Sensitive Data Order).
Jimmy’s will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that guests’ privacy is protected.
However
If a guest discloses something about themselves it will be shared within the team as appropriate. The guest should be made aware of this before disclosure, if possible.
Jimmy’s may use the information gathered in an entirely anonymous and
unidentifiable way to produce statistics that will help direct and develop the work of Jimmy’s and of homelessness in the City of Cambridge.
