Our volunteers come from all walks of life, from a variety of backgrounds, faiths and cultures. From college and sixth-form students to civil servants, from legal specialists to lay preachers, from stay-at-home mums to senior executives, from researchers to retired professionals: our team of volunteers has a huge variety of experience to bring to Jimmy’s. And we see a wide age range — from 18 to (almost!) 80. There really is a role for everyone in our volunteer team
For our volunteers aged 18—25, Jimmy’s is pleased to work with the v-involved project from the Young Lives team. This develops youth volunteering and provides a nationally recognised accreditation.
You don’t need special qualifications, skills or experience: our only criteria are that you must be at least 18 years of age — and willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in!
